The Building Technology Research Institute of the BCJ serves as a clearing house for the latest information on new technological developments, building and housing policies and other related topics as a way of promoting the use of new building technologies and techniques developed by the private sector.

Survey and Research

The BCJ conducts research on advanced technology and innovative policies.

The BCJ is involved in research in a wide range of fields, including building technology, urban development, and housing policies. These research projects are conducted under contract with government or with private organizations, jointly with organizations, or independently.

Research and Development Support

The BCJ supports research and development of building technology within the private sector.

The BCJ not only provides review and certification of construction technology (see above), but also offers technical guidance for private companies and other organizations involved in advanced R&D in the field of building technology. Specifically, the BCJ helps such companies and organizations solve problems which they might encounter in the practical application of their technologies that has reached a certain stage of development.
